Working with my group was a pleasure! We ended up using InDesign (an application I have never used before) as the medium of our lesson plan. With Matt and Will's guidance, Leslie and I were able to easily navigate the application. Will's Instruction Sheet was very detailed, and Matt's idea to use InDesign instead of Illustrator was helpful to our process. Ultimately, this lesson was much easier to execute on InDesign and I'm glad with the decision we made. After creating this lesson plan, I believe I can confidently teach it to a Digital Arts class! Not only have I learned a new skill, but I also have built a stronger connection to our social justice topic. If I were assigned this lesson as a high school student, I would feel like my voice matters. I wish I had more assignments that dealt with social justice in my high school art classes. But now, I hope to provide these kinds of engaging activities to current high school students. I am also very excited to use the lesson plans made by other groups!
